Vijay’s latest film ‘Velayudham’ directed by ‘Jayam’ Raja started rolling yesterday. The film is currently progressing in and around locations in Hyderabad. A special set was erected at the world famous Golconda fort and the shoot started in that. ‘Jayam’ Raja is filming the climax fight. Earlier Vijay’s 2004 film ‘Thirumali’ was also shot in this historical fort location.
The attractive images of Vijay all dressed like a super man Robinhood with guns and swords in the launch invite materials are going to be from this climax fighting sequence. The action scenes were choreographed by Selvam master who was also the stunt director of ‘Anniyan’. The ‘Anniyan’ look of Vijay may be also because of ‘Anniyan’ producer Aascar Ravichandran is the producer of Vijay’s ‘Velayudham’ also.

Actor Karthi says,” I am not worried about the rumors regarding me and Thamanna. My parent are searching for me a suitable girl.”
Yesterday Karthi gave an interview to the media.
Wherever you go there are rumors about Thamanna and you. Are you not upset about this?
There is no truth in this. It is a pure rumor. Then why should I be upset. It is a usual thing that happens about celebrities. I take this very cool. I am not worried in any way. Since this affecting a girl (Thamanna) I am denying this.
It seems you family is looking out for a girl?
Yes. It is true. My family members are looking out for a girl throughout Tamil Nadu. I have no intention marrying a girl who is working. She should be submissive and at the same tim care. I am waiting. Normally parents are reluctant to give their daughter to cinema actors. If they know about our family, they will not be reluctant. Normally when they search alliance for the daughter, they will look for doctors and engineers. If they get an actor, they will select the engineer or doctor only.We cant say that it is wrong.
Surya’s films have also been hits and your films have also been hits. Can we call this luck?
I have faith in luck. You can go up only if you have luck.
How does your father take both of your growths?
My father Shivakumar who was good and helping nature did not get proper recognition but now he has got this through my brother Surya and me. I am really happy about this. My father use to always tell that acting is the blessing from God. It is true. We have got the affection from all Tamil people. This is itself is blessing. In order to retain this blessing from God, we are working very hard.
How do you select the stories? Does your father interfere?
We select films in such a way that it should be different from the earlier film we had acted. My brother alone listens to the story for his film. I listen to the story for the films I act. Our father does not interfere.

Michael Rayappan is producing a film titled Sindhu Samaveli. Harish Kalyan, Anaka, Ghajini and Ganja Karuppu are starring in this film. Sami who is directing this film while speaking to the media said,” Nobody has dared to touch a subject like this.
Women also have all the emotions and sensations like the men. I have narrated this strongly in this film. Uthpal Nayanar’s cinematography and Sundar C Babu’s music are great strength to the film. The heroine’s were given significance in my earlier films like Uyir and Mirugam.
But in this film Anaka has got life time character. This film is based on a Russian novel title First Love which was written some 180 years ago. I have written the screenplay and dialogues.
I am also directing this film. We shot this film in Vagamon in Kerala for 64 days. This place is a hilly terrain. The film will definitely create sensation after its release. The story and sequences will be suitable for all. The climax scene will tilt the hearts of audience.”

Anjali who made a modest entry with the critically acclaimed film ‘Kattrathu Thamizh’ opposite Jeeva became a star after ‘Angadi Theru’. But in the very beginning it was Mu. Kalanjiam who spotted Anjali even before ‘Kattrathu Thamizh’ and all set to launch the terrific actress with a film titled ‘Sathamintri Muthamidu’. Kalanjiam had also given a new name Sundari.
But later ‘Sathamintri Muthamidu’ was shelved and with a new name Anjali moved on to do ‘Kattrathu Thamizh’ and the rest is history. But Kalanjiam had signed Anjali for four films before the turn of fortunes happened with ‘Angadi Theru’.
Now with Anjali’s star value on the rise, Mu. Kalanjiam has decided to revive his projects. At first he will launch ‘Karungali. In which he is also launching himself as the hero. Kalanjiam hopes the presence of Anjali will give his career also a boost to take up his other films.

Ileana had acted in the film Kedi. After a long time she is pairing with Vikram in a Tamil film. She is also concentrating on Ad films. Ileana while speaking about this said,” Few people are telling that I should not act in Ad films when I am acting in cinema.
There is nothing wrong to utilize it when luck knocks the door. What is wrong in acting in Ad films when acting in cinema? Once your market is gone no one will come after you. I am not talking about others. As far as I am concerned I have some principles. I am acting in Ad films which are about good products.”
